there is something important to to know sunscreens are a toxic range of chemicals which are wholly responsible for most skin problems and most skin cancers
They do not protect you from uv very well especial uva they cause endless skin cell problems and one day it will come out like cigarettes did which by the way used to be said to people in the 2nd world war where good for them.
So even if the calming range is good for you its the chemicals in the sunscreen which are like using paint stripper to the paint work of your car .

Its the biggest and at best misunderstanding and at worse a complete con making trillions for the industry and putting skin cancer at the very top of the cancer list in people.

So what stops the uv damage? Well uv is A. B.C. c ...forget C if that gets through the ozone its Armageddon.. nothing anyone can do including Bruce Willis in a space ship.
B is like a heat ray its what causes the burn but only on surface skin and if you are in direct sunlight for to long you get the surface burn but not skin cancer unless your burning the skin day after day which the pain would be unbearable the surface skin cells are dead and fall off ever 20 days, so can’t mutate so you would have to keep day after day getting burnt through to the new cells to get skin cancer . Cover up, umbrellas, hats, tea shirts, shade all stop this burning of the surface cell. And to be fair so do you by letting the skin produce melanin i.e. a tan but that takes time for melanin to come through and of course vitamin D so you have to pace your direct sun exposure and then when you tan you can be in direct sun more and more.

Uva is a whole different bag its a photon radiation which goes through clothes, umbrellas, hats, windows, water, it bypasses most sunscreens and gets right down into the area of skin where new cells are forming and causes what we call oxidative free radical stress to new cells and only one thing stops that antioxidants and the oils we have are highly concentrated antioxidants of the very bets kind .
That’s why if using our oils and your carful i.e. not to lay out in direct sunlight for hours on end they protect you better and don’t expose the skin to the chemicals of spf’s
